SETUP MENUTUNING BANDPurposeAllows you to set the TV tuner to match either your anten-na or cable-TV system.If you are having difficulty tuning channels, the TUNINGBAND may have to be set manually to match your viewingneeds.Before Using TUNING BANDConnect and turn ON all external equipment, such as acable-TV decoder, VCR, etc. Use AUTO CH. SEARCH ifnot previously used.NOTE: TUNING BAND is not displayed while VIDEO 1or 2 source is selected.To Use TUNING BAND1. Press ADJUST (ADJ) Left/Right to select thedesired tuning band, as shown below:* BROADCAST is used for standard over-the-airbroadcasts.• Cable - CATV is used for most standard cable-TV(CATV) systems.• Cable - HRC is used for cable-TV systems that useHRC (Harmonically Related Carrier).• Cable - ICC is used for cable-TV systems using ICC(Incremental Coherent Carrier).Available Channels per BandThe channels that are available in the broadcast and cabletuning bands are shown below:BROADCAST BandVHF 2 to 13UHF 14 to 69**Channels above 69 are not selectableCATV, HRC and ICC Bands1-125 **** Channels above 125 are not selectable.When Some Channels Are Not ClearIf some channels are not clear, change the AUTO FINETUNE. You may have to try different TUNING BAND andFINE TUNE combinations until you get a clear picture,channel-to-channel.
