- 7 -6. INSTALL THE HOODRun power cable to installationlocation. Place the hood at itslocation. Using a pen, mark theposition of the screws (smaller partof the embossed keyholes).Remove the hood and install four1/2” double thread screws at sideslocations (A), leaving a 1/8” gap.Place the wire clamp, insert thecable in the hood and tighten thewire clamp to secure the cable.Place the hood under the cabinetand slide it in position. Make surethe adapter/damper assemblyenters the ducting and the damperopens freely. Secure the hood bytightening the screws completely.Install the last 1/2 double threadscrew (B) in the remainingembossed hole.HD0218NOTES: 1. For the best ventilation performance, if a round duct must be used, the ductdiameter must be 6” or more. Use a 3¼” x 10” to 6” round transition.2. The wall duct must be well prepared to receive the adapter. Before performingthe installation, make sure the adapter fits easily in the duct.ALL INSTALLATIONSUsing two 1/2” screws, secure theadapter/damper to the top or back of thehood. Tape the adapter/damper to the hoodusing duct tape to seal it.HO00955.
