If you thinkthat the preamp you are using is thepreamplifier you want to die with, wecan adjust, to a large extent, the gainof the darTZeel NHB-108 model one, forappropriate matching.However, this is a delicate task andmust be done by a qualified personwith a well-equipped workshop.7.2.6. Sound too loudPlease realize that the sound of adarTZeel NHB-108 model one can never betoo loud!More seriously, you could find yourselfalways using the volume control of yourpreamplifier in the first quarter of its fullrange, while getting high sound levels.We can also decrease the gain of youramplifier to suit your high gain preampli-fier. Please note however, that we sug-gest you consult us before thinking ofsuch a modification.7.2.7. Blinking EyesA) Eyes blink at cold power ON. If yourlistening room is at a temperature be-low 65∞F (18∞C), this could be consid-ered as normal, provided that this be-havior disappears in the following 3 to5 minutes.In a room at a temperature above65∞F (18∞C), blinking eyes indicatethat your darTZeel NHB-108 model onecould do with some tuning. However,if this behavior ceases after 3 to 5minutes, and especially if you can putup with it, no adjustment is manda-tory.B) Eyes blink after several hours, whenthe machine is hot, or even very hotIf your room temperature is above90∞F (32∞C), this can be consideredas normal behavior, and normally theeyes should stop blinking as soon asthe ambient temperature return to"human being" levels.Please also check that your darTZeelNHB-108 model one is properly venti-lated, as indicated in chapter 4.1. "Lo-cation" and that you are not using itat quasi-permanent power clippinglevels with 4Ω loads.If the ambient temperature is under90∞F (32∞C) but the Eyes blink, yourmachine needs some tuning.To cut a long explanation short,darTZeel's eyes should not blink in ambi-ent temperature ranges from 65∞F to90∞F (18∞C to 32∞C).
