EN316. CONNECTION TO THE ELECTRICAL NETWORK6.1 The connection of the container to the electrical network must be ofa permanent design. Wall sockets may not be used.6.2 Cable connection must be implemented from the water heater to theisolation switch, which must be incorporated in the fixed wire network. The overcurrent protection of the isolation switch must be ensured using aminiature circuit breaker.6.3 The current of the electric system has to be connected to the containerthrough a two-pole switch (disconnecting all poles) ensuring full disconnectionin an environment of overvoltage category III.(At least 3mm separation distance must be ensured between open poles.)6.4 The required mains cable wire diameter is 1.5 mm – 2.5 mm, subject to2the performance indicated on the plate. Cable types suitable for connecting tothe mains:Adequate type (alternative type):• H05 VV-F (H05 VVK-F);• H05 RR-F (H05RR-K);Connection with wire protection tube is not allowed!6.5 The internal circuit diagram of the hot water container is shown onFigure 2, page 131. the wiring must be connected to screw terminals of thetemperature regulator (and limiter). After connection, the mains supply leadmust be protected against pulling by tightening the wire clamp at the inlet. The mains supply lead must be inserted between the two clamp halves, andthen, they must be fixed to the bottom of the shell using fastening screws.6.6 Contact protection rating of the appliance: I.The cover (bottom plate) of electrical assemblies provides adequate protectionagainst accidental touching of powered parts during operation.Connect the appliance phase aligned to the electrical network, in line with theconnection drawing shown both on the bottom plate and in Figure 2, page 131.We recommend to use contact protection relay within the electrical network ofthe facility, while operating the appliance.2
