EN167. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCEIf water leakage from the interior ofthe water tank or any otherabnormality are detected, please, switch off the water tank from theelectric and pipeline systemsimmediately with the help of theclosing valve and the main switch.Leaking of the hot water faucetcauses damaging overheating. Thereparation of the faucet is Your owninterest.7.1 Combined safety valvePlease blow off the valve at least everysecond month turning the blow offbutton of the safety valve in thedirection indicated by the arrow whenthe hot water tank is in a cooled state. This way, the valve seat is cleanedfrom sand grains and blocks them fromsticking. If water leakage does not stopafter switching off the heat, pleaseturn to repair service. By the way, it isrecommended to ensure annual checkof the hot water tank.7.2.1 E , Temperature controllingdeviceTurning the button fully counter-clockwise, the temperature controllingdevice gets into zero state. Turningthe button clockwise, the desiredtemperature can be set at higher andhigher degrees, see Figure 5. /1!.Arriving at sign *, the water tank isprotected against frost, except forcases of non-operation of the watertank or current failure. Frostprotection does not cover the waterpipeline system and water fittings.Under frost protection mode, thetemperature of the water is notallowed to fall below appr. 7 ºC, whileenergy consumption is minimal.Setting the controlling button to thebeginning of the duple continuousline, the water tank will providewater of 40º C. This mode, i.e.setting the water tank to providewater of 40º C represents an energysaving mode as this time, heat lossdecreases by 70% as compared tothe quantity in the mode ofproviding water of 80º C,furthermore, the hot waterproduced in this mode can be usedwithout cold water mixing. If hotwater needs can be fulfilled withwater of this temperature besidesthe given storing capacity, it isreasonable to operate the watertank at the temperature of 40º C.The start of the triple line means 60ºC and its end means 80º C. In caseof larger water need, operate thehot water tank in a mode of 60 ºCwater provision and change thetemperature controller into 80 ºCwater provision state only ifnecessary. In case of both modes of40 ºC and 60º C water provision, scale deposition and corrosion arereduced significantly.7.2.2 EK-1 Temperaturecontrolling and reducing device(built together)The temperature of the waterstored in the hot water tank can becontrolled outside with the help ofthe turn button without levels, inorder to set water temperaturebetween 10 ºC – 70 ºC.Turning the button fully clockwise, the temperature controlling devicegets into zero state.
