Nord soUNd MaNaGErthe Nord sound Manager is your tool of choice for transferring soundsto and from the Nord Electro 5, organizing your Programs, set lists andsounds, backing up your instrument and more. the application is avail-able in both Windows and Mac osX versions. this chapter will describethe most common operations within the Nord sound Manager - for acomplete guide to the application, please refer to the Nord sound Man-ager manual, available for download from www.nordkeyboards.com.sYstEM rEQUIrEMENtsthe Nord sound Manager and Nord sample Editor is compatible withcomputers running Mac os 10.4 or later, Windows XP, Windows vista,Windows 7 and Windows 8.INstallatIoNthe first step is to download Nord sound Manager from www.nordkey-boards.com. this way you can also be sure that you are using the latestavailable version of the application.Windows: double click on the ”Nord sound Manager v6.XX setup.exe”file and follow the instructions. after the installation completes you willfind the application within your start menu.Max OSX: double click on the ”Nord sound Manager v6.XX.dmg” fileand drag the Nord sound Manager application from the virtual harddrive into your applications folder.ovErvIEWthe main area of the Nord sound Manager is the list view, divided into tabs representing the three partitions: Piano, Samp Lib and Program.
