Ifyou delete an entry in the resilience table, thecurrent active link remains enabled and the currentstandby link is cancelled.If the main link fails, the standby link becomes active. Ifthe fault with the main link is solved, the standby linkstays active and the main link acts like a standby link.You can swap the links around using management.Using the Hub to Monitor Other DevicesYour hub can be used to monitor other devices onyour network, and to notify an IP/IPX-based networkmanagement application should a problem occurwith a device attached to it. The hub notifies theIP/IPX-based network management application bysending SNMP traps (messages) to it.If you have a large network with many devices, thisfeature allows you to distribute device monitoringamong those managed devices on your network,easing the load on the IP/IPX-based networkmanagement application.This facility also allows you to monitor devices thatare otherwise not directly manageable, such asworkstations.
