IP Pool Configuration 8 - 35 Private: Select Private if you want to create an IP Address pool thatallows some of your remote users greater access to your network.When an authenticated remote user’s request for an IP addressfrom this pool is received by the OfficeConnect Gateway, it willallocate an IP address from this private pool to the remote user’scomputer.6 Select an IP Pool Route (Broadcast, Not Broadcast, Multiple Broadcast)from the IP Pool Route drop-down menu. The default value for this field isNot Broadcast. Not Broadcast: When you create a Public or Private IP Pool, the IPAddresses are not broadcast and are not listed in the RIP (RoutingInformation Protocol) Routing Table until the IP Address from theAddress pool is assigned to an authenticated Remote User. Broadcast: Select Broadcast to broadcast and make the IP PoolAddresses visible in the RIP Table without the need to wait until aRemote User is authenticated. Multiple Broadcast: Select Multiple Broadcast to broadcast andmake the IP Pool Addresses visible in the RIP Table of multipleremote servers without the need to wait until a Remote User isauthenticated.7 Click the Apply button to implement your changes.8 Click SaveAll on the menubar of the OfficeConnect Gateway topermanently save the information.To Modify an IPAddress PoolTo modify an IP Address Pool, perform the following steps:1 Select Modify in the Edit Mode drop-down menu.2 Select the name of the IP Address Pool you want to modify in the IP PoolName field.3 Modify the parameters you want to change (Initial IP Address, IP PoolSize, IP Pool State, IP Pool Route).4 Click the Apply button to implement your changes.5 Click SaveAll on the menubar of the OfficeConnect Gateway topermanently save the information.
