6213.Troubleshooting13.1. Fault messagesFault Code No. Description Corrective Action 00 No Fault Displayed in Parameter 0401 if no faults are recorded in the log 01 Brake channel over current Ensure the connected brake resistor is above the minimum permissible level for the drive –refer to the ratings shown in section 11.2.Check the brake resistor and wiring for possible short circuits. 02 Brake resistor overload The drive software has determined that the brake resistor is overloaded, and trips to protectthe resistor. Always ensure the brake resistor is being operated within its designed parameterbefore making any parameter or system changes. To reduce the load on the resistor, increase deceleration the time, reduce the load inertia oradd further brake resistors in parallel, observing the minimum resistance value for the drivein use. 03 Instantaneous over current on driveoutput.Excess load on the motor.Fault Occurs on Drive EnableCheck the motor and motor connection cable for phase – phase and phase – earth shortcircuits.Check the load mechanically for a jam, blockage or stalled conditionEnsure the motor nameplate parameters are correctly entered in parameter 9905, 9906, and9907.If operating in Vector mode (Parameter 9903 – 0 or 1), also check the motor power factor inparameter 9915 and ensure an autotune has been successfully completed for the connectedmotor.Reduced the Boost voltage setting in parameter 2603Increase the ramp up time in parameter 2202If the connected motor has a holding brake, ensure the brake is correctly connected andcontrolled, and is releasing correctlyFault Occurs When RunningIf operating in Vector mode (parameter 9903 – 0,1,3), reduce the speed loop gain inparameter 2301 04 Drive has tripped on overload afterdelivering >100% of value inparameter 9906 for a period of time.Check to see when the decimal points are flashing (drive in overload) and either increaseacceleration rate or reduce the load.Check motor cable length is within the limit specified for the relevant drive in section 10.2Ensure the motor nameplate parameters are correctly entered in parameter 9905, 9906, and9907.If operating in Vector mode (Parameter 9903 – 0 or 1), also check the motor power factor inparameter 9915 and ensure an autotune has been successfully completed for the connectedmotor.Check the load mechanically to ensure it is free, and that no jams, blockages or othermechanical faults exist 05 Hardware Over Current Check the wiring to motor and the motor for phase to phase and phase to earth shortcircuits. Disconnect the motor and motor cable and retest. If the drive trips with no motorconnected, it must be replaced and the system fully checked and retested before areplacement unit is installed. 06 Over voltage on DC bus The value of the DC Bus Voltage can be displayed in parameter 0107A historical log is stored at 256ms intervals prior to a trip in parameter 0191This fault is generally caused by excessive regenerative energy being transferred from theload back to the drive. When a high inertia or over hauling type load is connected. If the fault occurs on stopping or during deceleration, increase the deceleration ramp time2203 or connect a suitable brake resistor to the drive. If operating in Vector Mode, reduce the speed loop gain in parameter 2301 07 Under voltage on DC bus This occurs routinely when power is switched off.If it occurs during running, check the incoming supply voltage, and all connections into thedrive, fuses, contactors etc. 08 Heatsink over temperature The heatsink temperature can be displayed in parameter 0110.A historical log is stored at 30 second intervals prior to a trip in parameter 0193Check the drive ambient temperatureEnsure the drive internal cooling fan is operatingEnsure that the required space around the drive as shown in sections 0 on page 17 has beenobserved, and that the cooling airflow path to and from the drive is not restrictedReduce the effective switching frequency setting in parameter 2606Reduce the load on the motor / drive 09 Under temperature Trip occurs when ambient temperature is less than -10°C. The temperature must be raisedover -10°C in order to start the drive. 10 Factory Default parameters havebeen loadedPress STOP key, the drive is now ready to be configured for the required application 11 External trip E-trip requested on control input terminals. Some settings of parameter 9902 require anormally closed contactor to provide an external means of tripping the drive in the event thatan external device develops a fault. If a motor thermistor is connected check if the motor istoo hot. 12 Communications Fault Communications lost with PC or remote keypad. Check the cables and connections toexternal devices
