511. Verifying measurements – can be performed according to the instructions inSection 5.3. Measurements verification.2. Verifying output contacts operation – can be performed according to theinstructions in Section 5.4. Function test. The circuit breaker tripping circuit should be disconnected from therelay during this verification, in order to avoid unwanted operation inthe system. Interlocking signals should also be disconnected from therelay during the verification in order to avoid dangerous situationsfrom occurring in the system.3. Verifying digital inputs operation – can be performed according to theinstructions in Section 5.5. Digital input test.5.2.2. Preventive parts replacementWhen being used for real-time clock and recorded data functions, the battery shouldbe changed every five years. Refer to Section 4.4.3. Inserting and changing thebattery.5.3. Measurements verificationAs most of the protection functions in the protection relay are based on the phase-to-phase voltages and residual voltage measured by the relay, it is important to verifythat the relay is measuring proper values. This measurements verification can be performed by examining the voltage readingson the display while applying a pure sinusoidal voltage into the voltage input. If thereading on the display corresponds to the calculated value, taking the relay accuracyand display resolution into account, the relay is measuring proper values.Rated voltage set for the energizing input that is being verified can be read via SPAparameter V134 or via HMI.When verifying phase-to-phase voltages or residual voltage measured by the relay, the value to be shown on the display is calculated as follows:Value on LCD (U )= applied voltageenergizing input rated von lltage U n × (1)5.4. Function testThis section describes how the signal routing from protection functions to, andoperation of, the output contacts in the relay can be tested.Voltage Protection RelayOperator's ManualREU 610REU 6101MRS755770
