134.Appli c ati onREU 610 is a versatile multifunction voltage relay which is used in generalvoltage supervision applications. It complements the range of feederprotection relay R E F 610 and motor protection relay R E M 610 in industrialoutgoing feeder and motor feeder applications. The relay can also be used asback- up protection for industrial as well as utility applications.The large number of integrated protection functions, including two- stageovervoltage protection, two- stage undervoltage protection and two- stageresidual overvoltage protection, makes the relay a complete protection againstvarious voltage fault conditions.The large number of digital inputs and output contacts allows a wide range ofapplications.4.1. Req u i r em en tsTo secure correct and safe operation of the relay, preventive maintenance isrecommended to be performed every five years when the relay is operatingunder the specified conditions; see Table 4 .1.- 1 andSection 5 .2.3 .
