With this switch there is no need to worry aboutthe correct power voltage, this unit can be plugged in anywhere.DMX-512: DMX is short for Digital Multiplex. This is a universal pro-tocol used as a form of communication between intelligent fixturesand controllers. A DMX controller sends DMX data instructions fromthe controller to the fixture. DMX data is sent as serial data that trav-els from fixture to fixture via the DATA “IN” and DATA “OUT” XLR ter-minals located on all DMX fixtures (most controllers only have a DATA“OUT” terminal).DMX Linking: DMX is a language allowing all makes and models ofdifferent manufactures to be linked together and operate from a singlecontroller, as long as all fixtures and the controller are DMX compli-ant. To ensure proper DMX data transmission, when using severalDMX fixtures try to use the shortest cable path possible. The orderin which fixtures are connected in a DMX line does not influence theDMX addressing. For example; a fixture assigned a DMX address of 1may be placed anywhere in a DMX line, at the beginning, at the end,or anywhere in the middle. When a fixture is assigned a DMX addressof 1, the DMX controller knows to send DATA assigned to address 1to that unit, no matter where it is located in the DMX chain.Data Cable (DMX Cable) Requirements (For DMX Operation):The MEGA GO FLOOD BAR can be controlled via DMX-512 protocol.The MEGA GO FLOOD BAR has 7 DMX channel modes, please seepage 11 for the different DMX modes. The DMX address is set on theback panel of the MEGA GO FLOOD BAR. Your unit and your DMXcontroller require a standard 3-pin XLR connec-tor for data input and data output (Figure 1). Werecommend Accu-Cable DMX cables. If you aremaking your own cables, be sure to use standard110-120 Ohm shielded cable (This cable may bepurchased at almost all pro lighting stores). Yourcables should be made with a male and femaleXLR connector on either end of the cable. Alsoremember that DMX cable must be daisy chainedand cannot be split.MEGA GO FLOOD BAR Set UpFigure 1life expectancy of the battery maybe shortened or the devicein which the battery is used may be damaged by electrolytegel leakage.
