4 61220010L2-5, Issue 3 61220010L2-5CWiringThe ADTRAN IDSL OCU-R may be mounted in anystandard T400/T200 housing, or the followingADTRAN T400/T200 housings:CAUTIONOn span-powered units, ensure ground continuityexists between the unit, the housing, and a knownapproved ground source.Span Power Applications• Single Mount Housing P/N 1212007L1• Dual Mount Housing P/N 1212008L1For 2-wire DDS deployment from D4/SLC-96 andSLC-5 channel banks, a repeater powering U-BR1TEis used to provide the metallic 2-wire DDS interface. In these cases, the IDSL OCU-R is span-powered with-120 Vdc and the customer premises installationshould include a span-powered mounting.Local Power Applications• Single Mount Housing P/N 1212007L2For 2-wire DDS deployment from non-ADTRANdigital loop carrier U-BR1TEs, the IDSL OCU-R mustbe locally powered with customer provided AC. Forthese applications a local powered T400/T200mounting is required.Table 3 shows the Compliance Codes for the IDSLOCU-R. The IDSL OCU-R complies with therequirements covered under UL 1459 third edition andis intended to be installed in an enclosure with anInstallation Code (IC) of “B” or “E”. The IDSLOCU-R is intended for installation in restricted accesslocations only. Maximum input current at max load is32 mA @ -48 Vdc with an output of 6 mA @ 10 Vdc.NOTEThe DDS customer port is classified as suitablefor connection to intra-building or non-exposedwiring only. riaP pirtSlanimreTsnoitangiseD snoitangiseD snoitangiseD snoitangiseD snoitangiseDniP004TrebmuN rebmuN rebmuN rebmuN rebmuNremotsuC84-JR 84-JR 84-JR 84-JR 84-JRmorF/oTkrowteNRT,TT 74,14oTremotsuC)xR(RRD,TRD 51,5 8,7morFremotsuC)xT(TTD,RTD 55,94 2,1Table 4.
