12.4 Cleaning the oven doorThe oven door has four panels of glassinstalled one behind the other. You canremove the oven door and the internalglass panels to clean them.CAUTION!Do not use the appliance withoutthe glass panels.The direction in which you openthe door depends on your ovenmodel. You open the door fromthe right side in some modelsand from the left side in others.Removing the oven door and the glass panelsA 1. Press the buttons at the sides of thedoor trim (A) on the upper cover andpull it upwards to remove it.B 2. Hold the inner glass B tightly withboth hands and slide it upwards toremove it from its initial position. Dothe same with the other glass pan-els.CAUTION!Make sure that you tightly holdthe glasses to prevent them fromfalling.Clean the door with a wet sponge andrub it dry with a soft cloth. Do not usesteel wool, acids or abrasive cleaningagents because they can damage thesurface.Installing the door and theglass panelsWhen the oven door is clean, install theglass panels in the opposite sequence.Make sure that you put the glass panelsback in the correct order.The first glass panel has a small dot onthe top, the second a black frame. Insome models, the third glass panel hasscreen printings. In others, it is transpar-ent.The screen-printing zone must face theinner side of the door. Make sure that af-ter the installation the surface of theglass panel frame is not rough when youtouch it.ENGLISH 29
