IWThe decorative pattern on the ceramicsurface can become scratched andmarred with use, depending uponmaintenance, but does not adverselyaffect performance.Such blemishes are not covered by thewarranty and do not affect theoperation of the hob.Spills and melts must be removedimmediately, while the surface is stillwarm, using the scraper supplied withthe unit. Especially damaging are meltedplastic, aluminum, or any foodstuffcontaining sugar, including natural sugar,as these can create permanent“pockmarks” and craters on the ceramicsurface. After scraping polish thoroughlywith the cleaning agent supplied with theunit.Utensils which have been in contact withthe above-mentioned melted materialsmust be cleaned throughly before usedagain on the ceramic-top hob unit.Defects in the ceramic surface which canbe related to the above are not coveredby the warranty.Warning:Aluminum foil and plastic utensils arenot to be placed on hot surfaces.The surface may not be used for storage.Do not stare at the heating units whenin operation.
