TCeramic glass surfaceThe ceramic glass surface has fourcooking zones. When a zone isturned on, it will illuminate atvarious intervals depending on theheat setting selected. Even at thehighest setting the zone isdisconnected occasionally to ensurethat the surface is not over-heated.The glass is hard, and has beentempered to withstand heat, coldand temperature shocks. But like allglass it is sensitive to impact. Donot stand on the ceramic glasssurface.At the front of the ceramicglasssurface in the middle there arefour fields. Each field correspondsto a cooking zone. When using azone, the field concerned will showwhich CHEC function you areusing and the setting at which youhave set the zone.Cooking zonesThere are three single zones andone double zone.CHEC controlInformation about how to use theCHEC control function can befound in the section entitled“Operation instructions”. TheCHEC control function allowselectronic control of the zones.CHEC control enables you to setthe heat with great precision, whichmeans that you do not have toadjust the heat constantly. CHECcontrol provides the zones with thefollowing functions:Automatic disconnection of“forgotten” zones.AUTOMAX at all settings.Setting of large zone ondouble zones.Child safety device on zones.Residual heat indicatorWhen you switch off a zone, an"H" in the display indicates that thezone is still hot. The residual heatindicator will continue to beilluminated until the zone reaches atemperature of approx. 80˚C.
