The destination will always display yourdirectory number as the originator.• An incoming call will ring in on the line appearance where the directory number isassigned. If that line is busy, it will ring in on the associated call appearance. If boththe line appearance and the call appearance are busy, the call follows the call forwardbusy destination.• If both the line and call appearance are busy, and there is no call forward busydestination assigned, the caller hears busy tone.• If you have more than one directory number on these keys and want to originate acall from a specific line that was not the last line used, you must choose the linemanually.Softkeys as Line/Call AppearancesThe softkeys can also be programmed as line and call appearances. The following appliesto these keys:• Both the main line appearance and the supporting call appearance display on thescreen on the softkeys where they have been assigned.• The line appearance and call appearance are usually assigned to adjacent keys.• Line/call appearance assignments on these keys are L5 – L9.• Both the line appearance and the associated call appearance(s) display the directorynumber assigned to the line appearance.• Either one of the keys can be used to place a call from that directory number. Thedestination will always display the directory number of the line appearance as theoriginating directory number.• An incoming call will ring in on the line appearance where the directory number isassigned. If that line is busy, it will ring in on the associated call appearance. If boththe line appearance and the call appearance are busy, the call follows the call forwardbusy destination.• If both the line and call appearance are busy, and there is no call forward busydestination assigned, the caller hears busy tone.• Softkeys assigned as line/call appearances will move to the subsequent screens alongwith the other feature softkeys according to the state the phone is in.• If call rings in on line/call appearance softkeys that do not display on the first screenof the phone, you can go off-hook and the call is automatically answered. If you wantto view the actual line appearance softkey, you must use the More softkey to go tothe screen where the softkeys are displayed.• If you have more than one directory number on your phone and want to originate acall from a specific line that was not the last line used, you must choose the linemanually.
