Configuring speech diallerThe Speech Dialler function of the alarm panel describes the option ofsending a voice message to a (mobile) telephone in addition to thedigital transmission of a report to a command centre in the event of analarm.The radio alarm panel has a built-in speech dialler. The radio alarmpanel can record five speech messages using its internalmicrophone and replay them to a pre-programmed telephonenumber to report an alarm. One message is called the “Homemessage”, and is always played at the beginning of a report. Youshould use this message to identify the radio alarm panel and it’slocation. The other four messages allow you record some indicationof the type of event causing an alarm, for example: “Fire” or“Medical emergency”. The radio alarm panel plays these messagesafter the home message.The radio alarm panel can record up to 12 seconds of speech for theHome message, and up to eight seconds of speech for each of thealarm messages.While programming the speech dialler you link each message withthe specific alarm type you wish to report. You then select a set ofdestinations for each message, and each destination corresponds toone of the telephone numbers you wish to call (see diagram below).If a Social Emergency or Social Inactivity trigger starts aspeech call then the radio alarm panel also opens a speech paththe to the called number.The person receiving the speech messages can control the link bysending DTMF tones back to the radio alarm panel (usually bypressing buttons on the telephone key pad).Use the control buttons to select Speech Dialler. Confirm yourselection by pressing the control button under the word Select. Tocancel input, press the control button under the word Back.If you confirm Speech Dialler with the Select button, you see thefollowing graphic display:Use the control buttons to select a function.
