When the service disconnecting meanscannot be locked, securely fasten a prominentwarning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.• Installation work and electrical wiring must bedone by a qualified person(s) in accordance with allapplicable codes and standards, including fire ratedconstruction codes and standards.• Sufficient air is needed for proper combustionand exhausting of gases through the flue(chimney) of fuel burning equipment to preventbackdrafting. Follow the heating equipmentmanufacturer’s guideline and safety standards suchas those published by the National Fire ProtectionAssociation (NFPA), and the American Societyof Heating, Refrigeration and Air ConditioningEngineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.• When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do notdamage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, donot use this range hood with an additional speedcontrol device.• Ducted fans must always be vented to theoutdoors.• To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal ductwork.• Use with approved wiring only.• This unit must be grounded.WARNINGTo reduce the risk of range top grease fire:• Never leave surface units unattended at highsettings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasyspillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low ormedium settings.• Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat orwhen cooking flaming foods.• Clean ventilation fans frequently. Grease should notbe allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.• Use proper pan size. Always use cookwareappropriate for the size of the surface element.To reduce the risk of injury to persons in the eventof a range top grease fire, observe the following:*• SMOTHER FLAMES with a close-fitting lid, cookiesheet, or metal tray, then turn off the burner. BECAREFUL TO PREVENT BURNS. If the flames donot go out immediately, EVACUATE AND CALL THEFIRE DEPARTMENT.• NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN.
