25Connecting optionUSB devicesUniversal Serial Bus (USB) is a serial bus design that is capable ofcascading low-/medium-speed peripherals (less than 12 Mbps) such as akeyboard, mouse, joystick, scanner, printer and modem. With USB,complex cable connections can be eliminated.Your system comes with two USB ports located on the front panel.These ports allow you to connect additional serial devices to yoursystem without using up its system resources.To connect a USB device, simply plug the device cable into either USBport (black port) located on the front panel of your system.Note: Some USB devices have a built-in USB port which allows youto daisy-chain other devices.
