55BIOS Setup utilityThe BIOS Setup utility is a hardware configuration program built intoyour system's Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). Since most systems arealready properly configured and optimized, there is no need to run thisutility. However, if you encounter configuration problems and get the"Run Setup" message, you will need to run this utility. The Setup program loads the configuration values in a battery-backednonvolatile memory called CMOS RAM. This memory area is not partof the system RAM which allows configuration data to be retainedwhen power is turned off.Note: If you repeatedly receive Run Setup messages, the batterymay be bad. In this case, the system cannot retain configurationvalues in CMOS. Ask a qualified technician for assistance. Before you run Setup, make sure that you have saved all open files. The system reboots immediately after you exit Setup.
