Press and holdthe button to turn the unit off.Audio MutePress the button (1) to mute the volume fromthe system. “MUTE” will appear on the displaypanel and the volume will be muted. Press theMUTE button again, or rotate or press the VOL/MENU control (3) to return the volume level tothe setting in use before the Mute function wasactivated.Liquid Crystal Display PanelThe Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel displaysthe frequency, time and all activated functions,including a circular signal level indicator.NOTE: It is a characteristic of LCD panelsthat, if subjected to cold temperatures for anextended period of time, they may takelonger to illuminate than under normalconditions. In addition, the visibility of thenumbers on the LCD may slightly decrease.The LCD read-out will return to normal whenthe temperature inside the vehicle increasesto a normal range.Volume ControlTo increase or decrease the volume level,rotate the VOL/MENU control (3). The volumewill increase/decrease and the level will beshown on the display panel from a minimum of“VOL 0” to a maximum of “VOL 46”. The displaywill automatically return to the normal indication5 seconds after the last volume adjustment orwhen another function is activated. This controlis also used to adjust the bass, treble, balanceand fader levels.Audio ControlsTo adjust the bass, treble, balance and fader,press the VOL/MENU control (3) until theappropriate audio control appears on thedisplay panel. Within five seconds, rotate theVOL/MENU control to adjust the audio settingsfor the selected function.System MenuPress and hold the VOL/MENU button (3) toaccess the system menu. Press the VOL/MENU button multiple times to view menuoptions in the following order: LOUD ON/OFF >12/24 HOURS > VOL LAST/ADJ > BEEP ON/OFF > AREA SET > DX (distant)/LOC.
