AMP4039TUNER INSTRUCTIONSAM/FM Band Selector (BAND)During radio play, press the BAND button (8) tochoose between three FM and two AM bands.The indications “AM” or “FM” appear on thedisplay panel according to your selection.Up TuningPress the seek >>| (9) to tune to the nextavailable station.Press and hold the seek >>| button (9) toactivate manual tuning. You can then use thetune/track buttons to tune stations upward step-by-step.The current frequency will be shown in digitalformat on the display panel.NOTE: When tuning in a station, alwaysadjust the control so that the correctbroadcast frequency is shown on thedisplay and you are receiving a clear signal.If the radio is tuned off-frequency, you couldexperience distorted audio, noise and otherreception problems.Down TuningPress the seek down |<< button to tune to theprevious available station.Press and hold the seek down |<< button (10)to activate manual tuning. You can then use thetune/track buttons to tune stations downwardstep-by-step.Auto StorePress the AS button (11) to automatically selectsix strong stations and store them in the currentband. The new stations replace stations alreadystored in that band.PTY (Program Type)PTY defines the type of program beingbroadcast, when applicable. Not all stations arebroadcast with PTY information.
