This database is backed up every evening.Recordings are not stored in the database and should be backed up separately from thelocations designated in Recording Storage, see page 30.If for some reason the database is lost due to hardware failure or other problems, the databasecan be restored either with the latest backup or you can use a prior backup.To restore the database follow these instructions:1. Open AXIS Camera Station Service Control and click Stop.2. Navigate to the folder where the backup files are stored. The path to this folder isfound under Database backup in AXIS Camera Station Service Control.The backup folder contains timestamped backup files namedacs_system_.fdb and license_system_.fdb3. Copy acs_system_.fdb and license_system_.fdb toWindows 7/Vista/Server 2008/Server 2003: C:\ProgramData\AXISCommunication\AXIS Camera Station Server\Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AxisCommunication\AXIS Camera Station Server\4. Delete the files ACS.FDB and LICENSE.FDB.5. Rename acs_system_.fdb to ACS.FDB and renamelicense_system_.fdb to LICENSE.FDB.6. Click Start in AXIS Camera Station Service Control.66
