25AXIS M7001 - Pan Tilt ZoomPTZ ControlsIf the video encoder has been appropriately configured, the Live View page displays the controls available for the installed PanTilt Zoom (PTZ) device. The administrator can enable/disable the controls for specified users under System Options > Security> Users > User List. The controls shown depends on the PTZ device. The most common controls are:• the Pan bar – moves the camera to the right and left• the Tilt bar – tips the camera up and down• the Zoom bar – zooms the view in and out. Note that this is only available if the camera is fitted with azoom lens• the Iris bar – adjusts the brightness of the imageClicking on the bars themselves or on the arrows at the end of the bars moves the camera to a new position. The type ofmovement and the location of this new position depends on the type of PTZ driver. When controlling the camera using a relative PTZ driver the new positionis relative (see right) to the previous position, for example, left of, below, orabove. Clicking the bar further from the center results in a largermovement. In contrast, when using an absolute driver, each position on the bar (see the bars in the illustration above) represents adefined position in the device’s range of movement, with the center of the bar representing the point midway between thetwo extremes of movement.Clicking a position directly on the bar moves the camera directly to the new position in one smooth movement. Clicking onthe arrows at the ends of a bar causes an incremental change.
