Locate the print server’s serial number (S/N) found on the print server’sunderside label. The Ethernet address is based on the serial number:2. Open a Command Prompt or Terminal and enter the following syntax:3. The host will return psname is alive (Mac OS Terminal) or Reply from192.168.3.191... (Windows Command prompt) or a similar message. Thisindicates that a temporary IP address has been set and thatcommunication is established.4. Next, open a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer).5. In the Web browser’s Location/Address field, enter the print server’s IPaddress and press Enter.6. The print server’s web page will appear. Go to Setup | TCP/IP:7. Assign a fixed IP address to the print server: select Use the followingTCP/IP settings radio-button and enter a valid IP address, Subnet Maskand Default Router.8. Click Save and Restart.
