Please inform yourself about theapplicable national regulations in your specificcountry.Under EU law, the seller accepts liability for ma-terial defects for at least two years after the dateof sale. This also covers defects which alreadyexisted at the time of sale/change of ownership.In fact, if material defects occur within the firstsix months, the assumption is made that thesealready existed at the time of sale.One precondition for the seller assuming thisliability is that the product’s use and mainte-nance was in line with all conditions stipulated.These are outlined in the pages of this operatingmanual and in the supplied instructions from thecomponent manufacturers.In most cases, the customer can first requestsubsequent fulfilment. If repair fails conclusively,which is the assumption after two attempts, thecustomer is entitled to abatement or cancellationof the contract.Liability for material defects does not covernormal wear occurring from the product’sintended purpose. Components in the motor anddeceleration system as well as tyres, light systemand contact points of the rider with the pedelecare all subject to use-related wear.Suzhou Bafang Motor Science-Technology Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the "BAFANG Mo-tor") guarantees that: during the warranty pe-riod, customers will enjoy warranty service fromBAFANG for products purchased from BAFANG,as long as the products are within the warrantyperiod and the issues are indeed quality issuesconcerning material and workmanship.Warranty Period and ScopeThe warranty period starts from the date of sale,and is 24 months for the motor, and 24 monthsfor the controller, display, sensor and othercomponents. Check your bicycle brand warrantypapers for the specific details.The BAFANG limited warranty does not cover orapply to the following situations:1. damage, failure and/or loss caused byrefitting, neglect, improper maintenance, ac-cident, misuse, abuse or use for competitionor commercial purposes;2. damage, failure and/or loss due to shippingby customer;3. damage, failure and/or loss caused by im-proper installation, adjustment or repairs;4. damage, failure and/or loss irrelevant tomaterial and workmanship, e.g., failure tofollow instructions by users;5. damage, failure and/or loss caused by prod-uct’s appearance or surface modificationswhich do not affect its function;6. damage, failure and/or loss due to main-tenance or installation by repair stations ordealers unauthorized by BAFANG;7. damage, failure or loss caused by normalwear and tear.BAFANG reserves the right to repair or replacethe components, and is only responsible forrepairing or replacing them.Should pedelec manufacturers or dealersencounter quality issues when using or sellingBAFANG products, they can report the purchaseorder number and product's serial number toBAFANG's technology service department whowill check whether the products are under
