Combination detergents functiononly up to a specific degree of hardness(usually 26° Clarke). Over this limit saltand rinse-aid must be added. As soon as combined detergentsare used, the rinse programme is adjustedautomatically to ensure the best possiblerinsing and drying result.Notes– You will obtain optimum rinsingand drying results by using solodetergents and applying salt and rinseaid separately.– If programmes are short, tabletsmay not have full cleaning effect due todifferent dissolving propertiesand there may even be undissolveddetergent residue. It is recommendedto use washing powder for theseprogrammes.– The Intensive programme (on somemodels) requires one tab only. Whenusing washing powder, you can applysome of this cleaning agent to theinside of the appliance’s door.– Even if the rinse-aid and/or salt refillindicator is lit, the rinse programme willrun correctly with combineddetergents.– If using detergents in a water-solubleprotective cover: Take hold of thecover with dry hands only and putthe detergent into an absolutelydry detergent dispenser only, otherwisethe detergent may stick.– If you switch from combineddetergents to solo detergents, ensurethat the water softening systemand amount of rinse aid have beenset to the correct value.
