5. Installation procedures5. INSTALLATION PROCEDURESAbout this chapterThis chapter contains all installation procedures necessary to set up a Solaris LD display. These procedures describe, with detailedstep by step actions and illustrations, how to assemble a Solaris LD display. Some of the procedures are redundant for some of themounting configurations. See chapter "Set up process of a Solaris LD display", page 19, to follow the correct order of proceduresrequired to set up your Solaris LD display.5.1 Installation of the Solaris LD feetNecessary parts• 2 Solaris LD feet.• 8 custom made plain washers (J).• Fixation parts for securing the feet with the floor (provided by customer). How to install the Solaris LD feet ?1. Trace out the footprint of the Solaris LD foot on the floor of the desired installation location. Note that the distance (X) betweenthe centers of the two feet depends on the chosen Solaris LD model.- Solaris LD 120 : X = 1344 mm.- Solaris LD 140 : X = 1792 mm.- Solaris LD 150 : X = 1792 mm.Ensure that the feet are perfectly aligned. (image 5-1, image 5-2, image 5-3)2. Drill the eight mounting holes and provide them with fixation parts.Warning: Each fixation point between the Solaris LD foot and the floor must be able to handle a force of xxxx Newton.3. Place the Solaris LD feet into position. Note that the front top side of the foot is lower than the rear side.Tip: There is a hole in the bottom of the Solaris LD foot which can be used as entrance for the power and data cables.4. Place a custom made plain washer (J) and a nut on each attachment point. Do not fasten yet. Just loosely turn the nut againstthe washer to prevent the foot from falling.Note: For alignment reasons the feet are tightly secured with the floor after the support structure is installed upon the feet. Thisway shim plates can still be inserted between the floor and the feet to ensure the support structure is standing perfectlyleveled before securing the feet to the floor.250 mm200 mm30 mmX mmJImage 5-1Left: footprint of the Solaris LD foot, right: Solaris LD feet installation.R5976773 SOLARIS LD DISPLAY 02/12/2004 23
