Image Acquisition ControlBasler scout 99For more information about the electrical requirements for input lines 1 and 2, see Section 7.7.1 onpage 84.For more information about determining the maximum allowed frame rate, see Section 7.13 onpage 143 and Section 7.14 on page 148.7.5.3.2 Exposure ModesIf you are triggering the start of frame acquisition with an externally generated frame start trigger(ExFSTrig) signal, two exposure modes are available: timed and trigger width.Timed Exposure ModeWhen timed mode is selected, the exposure time for each frame acquisition is determined by thethe camera’s exposure time parameters. If the camera is set for rising edge triggering, the exposuretime starts when the ExFSTrig signal rises. If the camera is set for falling edge triggering, theexposure time starts when the ExFSTrig signal falls. The following figure illustrates timed exposurewith the camera set for rising edge triggering.Fig. 45: Timed Exposure with Rising Edge TriggeringNote that if you attempt to trigger a new exposure start while the previous exposure is still inprogress, the trigger signal will be ignored, and a Frame Start Overtrigger event will be generated. This situation is illustrated below for rising edge triggering.Fig. 46: Overtriggering with Timed ExposureExFSTrig Signal PeriodExposure(duration determined by theexposure time parameters)ExFSTrig SignalThis rise in the trigger signal will beignored, and a Frame Start Overtriggerevent will be generatedExposure(duration determined by theexposure time parameters)ExFSTrig Signal
