Open the Windows Firewall window: Windows 7: Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall. Windows 8 or higher: Right-click on the bottom-left corner of the screen, then clickControl Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall.2. In the left pane, click Turn Windows Firewall on or off.3. In the Customize Settings window, click on Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended)for the network location section where you want to disable firewall protection.You do not necessarily need to disable the Windows firewall.If you leave the firewall enabled, the camera can be fully used with the exceptionof the event reporting feature.
