65Radio modeTraffic programme (TP)If an RDS diversity station broadcastsTP announcements, it is possible to in-terrupt CD, CDC/AUX, MW, LW, SWmode or the mute mode and switch thebroadcast TP announcements through.Moreover, you can listen to one FM sta-tion while receiving TP announcementstransmitted by another FM station.There are two ways to select a TP sta-tion:- Automatic tracking- Direct programmingAutomatic tracking transmits TP bulle-tins over the FM station currently beingreceived. If the selected FM station haspoor signal quality or is not a TP station,the unit applies specified criteria tosearch for a new TP station.Direct programming enables a TP sta-tion to be programmed that is not the FMstation being received. This means, forexample, that a particular FM station canbe listened to whilst TP announcementsare received from another one.If the programmed TP station’s recep-tion is poor, the unit switches to auto-matic tracking until the programmed TPstation can be restored.If the unit detects a TP station, this is in-dicated on the display by TP.appears on the display to indicatethat the traffic programme is active.Activating / quitting the TPmenuActivating: Press the button (traffic an-nouncements cannot be transmitted).
