Rather than having to search the various setting screens, the user cansimply check the Settings Overview.Conserving Tablet Battery LifeThe tablet has two batteries; one external and one internal. The total battery power is 100 watt-hours. Due to the nature of survey work, the tablet screen must be set to high brightness to bevisible in the sunlight, and the screen must always be on to see the readings. With Wi-Fi turnedoff, the Xplore tablet will provide approximately 11 hours of continuous use time. Cath-Techrecommends that to prevent the tablet from consuming any additional power, do not install anyother apps to the tablet and be sure to fully charge each night before the next day’s survey.Additional external batteries with a charging dock are available.Figure 19 - Survey Settings Overview |
