To change the subnet maskfrom its default value, perform the following steps:1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Subnet Mask field.2. Enter the subnet mask using Decimal Dotted Notation (DDN) format.Values for each decimal must range from 0-255.For example: 255.255.0.03. Press ENTER. If the subnet mask entered was a valid format, thecursor returns to the beginning of the Subnet Mask field. If the entrywas not valid, the Event Message field displays “INVALID SUBNETMASK OR FORMAT ENTERED”. Local Management does not alterthe current value and refreshes the Subnet Mask field with theprevious value.4. Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command field.5. Press ENTER. The Event Message field at the top of the screendisplays “SAVED OK”.4.6 SETTING THE DEFAULT GATEWAYTo set the default gateway, perform the following steps:1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Default Gateway field.2. Enter the IP address of the default gateway using DDN format.For example: 134.141.79.1213. Press ENTER. If the default gateway entered was a valid format, thecursor returns to the beginning of the Default Gateway field. If theentry was not valid, the Event Message field displays “INVALIDDEFAULT GATEWAY OR FORMAT ENTERED”. LocalManagement does not alter the current value and refreshes the DefaultGateway field with the previous value.4. Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command field.5. Press ENTER.
