SeeScheduled Maintenance onpage 11‑1.Tyres are rotated to achieve auniform wear for all tyres. Thefirst rotation is the mostimportant.Anytime unusual wear isnoticed, rotate the tyres as soonas possible, check for propertyre inflation pressure, andcheck for damaged tyres orwheels. If the unusual wearcontinues after the rotation,check the wheel alignment. SeeWhen It Is Time for New Tyreson page 10‑50 and WheelReplacement on page 10‑53.Use this rotation pattern whenrotating the tyres.Do not include the spare tyre inthe tyre rotation.Adjust the front and rear tyres tothe recommended inflationpressure on the Tyre andLoading Information label afterthe tyres have been rotated. See “WheelNut Torque” under Capacitiesand Specifications onpage 12‑2.{ WARNINGRust or dirt on a wheel, or on theparts to which it is fastened, canmake wheel nuts become looseafter time. The wheel could comeoff and cause an accident. Whenchanging a wheel, remove anyrust or dirt from places where thewheel attaches to the vehicle. Inan emergency, a cloth or a papertowel can be used; however, usea scraper or wire brush later toremove all rust or dirt.
