69Linked Shooting with Radio Transmission When changing the setting from“receiver unit” to “sender unit” in step2, other Speedlites (or transmitters)that were set as “sender unit” untilthen automatically switch to “receiverunit”.6 Set up the receiver camera units. Set up all the receiver camera unitswithin approximately 30 m/98.4 ft. ofthe sender camera unit. Check that the <D> lamps of thereceiver units are lit in green.7 Take the picture. Check that the <D> lamp of thesender unit is lit in green and take thepicture. The receiver camera units arereleased linked with release of thesender camera unit. After shooting with linked shooting,the <D> lamps of the receiverunits are briefly lit in orange. When you want to clear linked shooting, operate the Speedlites one byone to change the setting to <P> in step 1. You can use this function as a remote control for linked shooting withoutattaching a Speedlite to a camera. Press <8> of the sender unit andselect <L> to release all receiver camera units. During linked shooting, the time until auto power off takes effect isapprox. 5 min. for both the sender and the receiver units. Note that whenthe interval of linked shooting is 5 min. or longer, set the “Auto power off”to “OFF” on both the sender and the receiver units (C.Fn-01-1, p.83).
