The data may not becorrectly recorded on the disc, andthe recording may be permanentlylost.• Do not carry the camcorder by theLCD panel or the disc cover. Becareful when closing the LCD panel.• Do not leave the camcorder in placessubject to high temperatures (like theinside of a car under direct sunlight),or high humidity.• Do not use the camcorder near strongelectromagnetic fields such as aboveTVs, near plasma TVs or mobilephones.• Do not point the lens or viewfinder atstrong light sources. Do not leave thecamcorder pointed at a bright subject.• Do not use or store the camcorder industy or sandy places. The camcorderis not waterproof – avoid also water,mud or salt. If any of the above shouldget into the camcorder it may damagethe camcorder and/or the lens. Besure to close the disc compartmentcover after use.• Be careful of heat generated bylighting equipment.• Do not disassemble the camcorder. Ifthe camcorder does not functionproperly, consult qualified servicepersonnel.• Handle the camcorder with care. Donot subject the camcorder to shocksor vibration as this may causedamage.Battery Pack• Charged battery packs continue todischarge naturally. Therefore, chargethem on the day of use, or the daybefore, to ensure a full charge.• Contact of the battery pack terminalswith metallic objects may cause ashort circuit and damage the batterypack.• Dirty terminals may cause a poorcontact between the battery pack andthe camcorder. Wipe the terminalswith a soft cloth.• Since storing a charged battery packfor a long time (about 1 year) canshorten its lifecycle or affectperformance, we recommend todischarge the battery pack fully and tostore it in a dry place at temperaturesno higher than 30 °C. If you do not usethe battery pack for long periods,charge and discharge it fully at leastonce a year.
