1921 Display the Live View image.Press the <A> button.X The Live View image will appear onthe LCD monitor. In the <A> mode,the scene icon for the scene detectedby the camera is displayed on theupper left (p.196).By default, Continuous AF (p.204) will take effect.The Live View image will closely reflect the brightness level of theactual image you capture.2 Focus on the subject.When you press the shutter buttonhalfway, the camera will focus withthe current AF method (p.206).3 Take the picture.Press the shutter button completely.X The picture will be taken and the capturedimage is displayed on the LCD monitor.X When the playback display ends, thecamera will return to Live Viewshooting automatically.Press the <A> button to exit the Live View shooting.A Shooting with the LCD MonitorThe image’s field of view is approx. 100% (with the image-recordingquality set to JPEG 73).During Live View shooting, pictures will be taken with One-Shot AF(p.101) for all the shooting modes.In Creative Zone modes, you can check the depth of field by pressing thedepth-of-field preview button.During continuous shooting, the exposure set for the first shot will alsobe applied to the subsequent shots.You can also tap the subject on the LCD monitor to focus (p.206-213)and shoot (p.214).You can also use a remote controller (sold separately, p.350) for LiveView shooting.
