23NOTESAbout the LCD screen: The screen isproduced using extremely high-precisionmanufacturing techniques, with more than99.99% of the pixels operating tospecification. Less than 0.01% of thepixels may occasionally misfire or appearas black, red, blue or green dots. This hasno effect on the recorded image and doesnot constitute a malfunction.LCD BacklightYou can set the brightness of thescreen to dim, normal or bright. To setthe screen to dim, turn on [LCDDIMMER] (s 83). To toggle betweennormal and bright or to turn off [LCDDIMMER], perform the followingprocedure.While the camcorder is on, holdpressed down for more than2 seconds.Repeat the operation to switch betweennormal and bright.NOTES• This setting does not affect thebrightness of the recording.• Using the bright setting will shorten theeffective usage time of the battery pack.• When the compact power adapter isconnected while the brightness of thescreen is normal, the brightness willautomatically change to bright.180°90°180°Subject can monitor the LCD screen DISP.
