14Message Cause ActionMEM IN USE nn % Shows the percentage of memorycurrently in use. This message isdisplayed when you set the document inADF.Wait for the machine to send any faxes inmemory. Also, print or delete anydocuments in memory you no longerneed.MEMORY FULL The memory is full because collate copywas set when a large document is loaded.Divide the document and copy each partseparately.NOT REGISTERED The One-Touch Speed Dial button orCoded Speed dialing code you enteredhas not been registered.Register the One-Touch Speed Dialbutton or Coded Speed Dialing code.(See pages 5-2 and 5-5.)PRINTER DATA ERROR Abnormality has occurred in the datatransmission between the machine andcomputer.Use [System Monitor] to delete thecurrent print job or the final print job (Ifmultiple jobs are being printed). Then youcan shift to the next job. If you use of the Menu, all theprint jobs are deleted. (See p.16-15.)REC. PAPER JAM There is a paper jam. Clear the paper jam (See pages 14-1 to14-7.) and reload paper in the cassette ormulti-purpose feeder. Then reset themachine by opening the printer cover andthen closing it.RECEIVED IN MEMORY The machine received the fax in memorybecause paper or toner ran out, a paperjam occurred, or incorrect paper size wasloaded.Load correct paper size in the cassette,replace the cartridge, or clear the paperjam. (See p.7-6.)REMOVE MP PAPER Paper is loaded in the multi-purposefeeder when the machine receives a faxor prints a report or list.Remove the paper from the multi-purposefeeder. If the machine receives the faxthen paper is loaded in the multi-purposefeeder, the received document will bestored in memory.REPLACE CARTRIDGE The toner cartridge ran out of toner or isnot installed properly.Make sure the toner in the cartridge isevenly distributed or the cartridge isinstalled properly.After doing this, if the message remainsdisplayed or the print quality is low,replace the cartridge. (See p. 2-18.)SCANNINGMAKING SPACE IN MEMMemory is getting low during scanningbecause the document has manygraphics or photos.When memory space becomes availableas printing continues, the scanningresumes automatically.
