20Step 3: Inserting a Memory CardThis camcorder is for use with MultiMediaCards and SD Memory Cards only.Inserting the Card1. Set the POWER switch to OFF.2. Open the cover.3. Insert the memory card straight allthe way into the memory card slot.4. Close the cover.Do not close the cover forcefully withouthaving the card correctly inserted.Removing the CardDo not forcefully remove the memory card without first pushing it in.1. Turn off the camcorder.Make sure that the card access indicatoris not flashing before you turn off thecamcorder.2. Open the cover.3. Push the memory card to releaseit. Remove the memory card.4. Close the cover. Turn off the camcorder before inserting or removing the memory card.Otherwise, it may result in data damage. If you use memory cards other than the supplied one, make sure to format themwith the camcorder ( 104). The SD Memory Card has a protect switch to preventaccidental erasure.
