For details about how to attach and use thereceiver, refer also to the receiver's instruction manual.When connecting the GP-E2 GPS Receiver to the camcorder, use the connecting cable supplied withthe receiver.After connecting the receiver, we recommend that you attach the receiver to the grip belt or thecarrying case supplied with the receiver.IMPORTANT• In certain countries and regions, the use of GPS may be restricted. Therefore, be sure to use GPS inaccordance with the laws and regulations of your country or region. Be particularly careful whentraveling outside your home country.• Be careful about using GPS functions where the operation of electronic devices is restricted.• Others may be able to locate or identify you by using location data in your geotagged pictures ormovies. Be careful when sharing these images with others, as when posting them online wheremany others can view them.• GPS signal reception may take some time.• Never leave the receiver near any equipment that generates a strong magnetic field, such asmagnets or electric motors.NOTES• The camcorder is not compatible with the receiver's digital compass and positioning intervalfunctions. Also, [Set Now] is not available for q > [GPS Auto Time Setting].• The GPS receiver's time will be set once when the receiver is attached to the camcorder. Whilerecording movies and or when Browser Remote is activated, the time will not be set.• You cannot add GPS information to the following types of recordings.- Photos captured from a movie.- MP4 movies that were converted from another movie.• GPS information added to AVCHD movies cannot be deleted with the camcorder or software DataImport Utility.Operating modes:
