174 Additional InformationDo’s and Don’tsHandling PrecautionsCamcorderBe sure to observe the following precautions to ensure maximum per-formance.• Save your recordings periodically. Make sure to transfer your record-ings to an external device such as a computer or digital video recorder(A 107) and save them on a regular basis. This will protect your impor-tant recordings in case of damage and create more free space on thememory. Canon shall not be liable for any data loss.• Do not carry the camcorder by the LCD panel. Be careful when closingthe LCD panel.• Handle the touch screen with care. Do not apply excessive force anddo not use ballpoint pens or other hard-tipped tools to operate thetouch screen. This may damage the touch screen’s surface.• Do not leave the camcorder in places subject to high temperatures (likethe inside of a car parked under direct sunlight), or high humidity.• Do not use the camcorder near strong electromagnetic fields such asabove TVs or near plasma TVs.• 6/4 Do not use the camcorder’s Wi-Fi functions inside hospi-tals, medical clinics or onboard aircraft. In addition, do not use themnear medical equipment or sensitive electronic devices as it may affecttheir performance.
