98Recording from Other Video DevicesYou can record movies from devices connected via the AV terminal (analog line-infunction), or via the DV terminal on a memory card.For connecting instructions, refer to page 35 and 77.1. Set the camcorder to PLAY (VCR) mode.⢠If a cassette is loaded, make sure the tape is stopped.⢠When recording via the AV terminal, make sure that âAV DVâ is displayed on thescreen. When recording via the DV terminal, make sure that âAV DVâ is notdisplayed. Change the setting as necessary ( 82).2. Connected device: Load a recorded cassette and play back the tape.3. Press the start/stop button when the scene you wish to recordappears.4. Press the start/stop button to stop recording.When recording from a tape in the camcorder or other video devices: A movie recorded from an image in widescreen mode will be verticallycompressed. The data code of the movie will reflect the date and time it has been recordedon the memory card. Recording stops at blank sections or recordings in different audio mode (12bit/16bit).Screen Displays during Movie RecordingCAMERA PLAY (VCR) CARD CAMERA CARD PLAYCard Access Displayâ â appears and â â moves toindicate that the camcorder is writing onthe memory card.Movie recording timeIndicates the recording time of themovie.Image SizeIndicates the movie size.Remaining Card Capacity forMoviesIndicates the remaining time in hoursand minutes.
