Cover/Sheet Insertion 2-5Additional Copy Functions2Cover/Sheet InsertionThis mode enables you to program the machine to automatically add front and backcovers, sheet insertions, or chapter pages using a different type of paper stock fromthat used for the document. In addition, you may also copy on the front and backcovers and the sheet insertions. Chapter pages are always copied on.IMPORTANT• When the machine is operating in the Cover/Sheet Insertion mode, you cannot use theGroup, Offset Group, Rotate Collating, Rotate Grouping, Saddle Stitch, Book 2-Sided,Two-Page Separation, Image Combination, Image Separation, Booklet, TransparencyInterleaving, Image Repeat, Mirror Image, or Form Composition modes.• If you use the Different Size Originals mode with the Auto Paper Selection mode, youcannot select the Cover/Sheet Insertion mode.• If you use the Cover/Sheet Insertion mode with the Remote or Cascade Copy mode,Auto Orientation is not performed.• When the Finisher-J1 (optional) is attached, you cannot staple more than 30 sheets (LTRor LTRR), 20 sheets (LGL), or 15 sheets (11" x 17") of output paper, including sheetinsertions.• When the Saddle Finisher-G1 (optional) is attached, you cannot staple more than 50sheets (LTR or LTRR), or 25 sheets (11" x 17" or LGL) of output paper, including sheetinsertions.NOTE• When copying on the front cover, back cover, or sheet insertions, these sheets areincluded in the count of the total number of copies. If these sheets remain blank,however, they are not included in the count of the total number of copies.• Chapter pages are included in the count of the total number of copies, since chapterpages are always copied on.
