6-7MaintenanceIMPORTANTHandling toner cartridge• Keep the toner cartridge away from computer screens, diskdrives, and floppy disks. They may be damaged by magnetwhich is in inside of the toner cartridge.• Avoid locations subject to high temperature, high humidity, orrapid changes in temperature.• Do not expose the toner cartridge to direct sunlight or brightlight for more than five minutes.• Store the toner cartridge in its protective bag. Do not openthe bag until you are ready to install the toner cartridge in themachine.• Keep the protective bag for the toner cartridge. They arerequired when transporting the machine such as duringrelocation.• Do not store the toner cartridge in a salty atmosphere or wherethere are corrosive gases such as from aerosol sprays.• Do not remove the toner cartridge from the machineunnecessarily.• Print quality may deteriorate if the drum surface is exposed tolight or is damaged.• Always hold the toner cartridge by its handle to avoid touchingthe drum.• Do not place the toner cartridge in an upright or an upsidedown position.
