The override box is used for forcingthe R829 to flash regardless of the calendar schedule and for forcing the R247 to temporarily cease flashing. ForR829 systems, this box will also contain the USB connection for programming the internal calendar. The USBcable is used to communicate calendar data between the R829 and a windows PC. The override box can bemounted on 2” square perforated and round poles. Assembly required.Calendar Upload / Override Switch KitWhen used with the G Series, the Override Switch Kit comes with a harness that connects to the INPUT+ andINPUT− terminals of the EMS and the switch terminals at the override box end.For calendar-equipped systems, another related kit is the calendar software programming kit,which includes a USB memory stick containing the Carmanah Calendar Configuration Windowsapplication and a 32-foot active USB extension harness. The USB extension allows programmingfrom a distance from the pole—for example, from a laptop within a work vehicle parked nearby.Disconnect power by removing system fuses before installing any additional equipment oraccessories.
