69ACH580 Operation with Remote KeypadThe VFD keypad is shown in Fig. 57 and Fig 58. The functions ofthe Left and Right Softkeys ( and ) change dependingon what is displayed on the screen. The function of Left Softkeymatches the word in the lower left-hand box on the display screen.The function of Right Softkey matches the word in the lowerright-hand box on the display screen. If the box is empty, then theSoftkey does not have a function on that specific screen. The Ar-row Keys are used to navigate through the menus. The Off key isused to turn off the VFD. The AUTO key is used to change con-trol of the drive to automatic control. The Hand key is used tochange control of the drive to local (handheld) control. The Helpkey is used to access the help screens.For the VFD to operate on the units covered by this document, thedrive must be set in AUTO mode. The word “AUTO” will appearin the upper left hand corner of the VFD display. Use of the startup assistant will override factory VFD configurations.Use the following procedure to reset the factory configurations forACH580 VFDs:1. Disconnect unit power. Lock-out/tag-out.2. Remove the VFD’s front cover.3. Disconnect the DI1 input at Terminal 13 (see Fig. 59 forlocation of DI1).Fig. 59 — Digital Input Terminal Block Location onACH580 VFD4. Connect the VFD Keypad accessory to the VFD (if notalready connected).NOTE: The VFD Keypad is a field-installed accessory; it isnot included with the factory-installed VFD option.5. At this point, providing you have a clean backup of thedrive, you can select “RESTORE” from “BACKUP”Menu from the Main Menu.Please Note: To restore a backup, the drive has to be in Localcontrol.6. If you do not have a clean backup the drive will have to bemanually programmed following the instructions in thisdocument.7. When the correct parameters have been uploaded, discon-nect power to the unit, reconnect DI1 to Terminal 13, andreplace the VFD cover.8. Reconnect power to the unit.
