again turn off for an additional 30 sec and the outdoor fan for 40sec. When the Quiet Shift is in OFF position, only a brief 30 seccycle will be observed. If it is desirable to observe a complete defrost in warmer weather, the defrost thermostat must be closed as follows.1. Turn off power to outdoor unit.2. Disconnect outdoor fan motor lead from OF2 on control board(See Fig. 18). Tape to prevent grounding.3. Restart unit in heating mode, allowing frost to accumulate onoutdoor coil.4. After a few minutes in heating mode, liquid line temperatureshould drop below closing point of defrost thermostat (ap-proximately 30 degree F).NOTE: Unit will remain in defrost until defrost thermostatreopens at approximately 80 degree F coil temperature at liquidline or remainder of defrost cycle time.5. Turn off power to outdoor and reconnect fan motor lead toOF2 on control board after above forced defrost cycle.Fig. 23—Cooling Charging Chart, 50JZ 024 UnitsC00082(024) 60 Hz COOLING CHARGING CHARTFor use with units using R410a Refrigerant809010011012013014015016017018020 30 40 50 60 70 80SUCTION LINE TEMPERATURE (DEG.
