4717.10 - Fixed-speed pumpThis pump is factory-installed as standard to guarantee thenominal flow in the water loop. It is a fixed-speed pump withavailable system pressure. See the pump flow/pressure curvesin chapters 10 and 11.The nominal system flow rate must be adjusted with a manualcontrol valve supplied by the customer (see chapters 10 and 11on the control of the nominal water flow rate). The maximum permitted concentration of the glycol additives(ethylene glycol or propylene glycol) is 35%.The maximum pump suction pressure is limited to 300 kPa (3bar) due to the valve installed on the entering water piping. The use of any other glycol type additives must be approvedby Carrier.ATTENTION: Use of hydronic kit in an open loop is forbidden.17.11 - Variable-speed pumpThis pump is factory-installed. It is a variable-speed pumpwith available system pressure. See the pump flow/pressurecurve.The system flow rate is automatically adjusted via thefrequency converter built into the pump, based on the heatrejection load on the drycooler. The maximum permitted concentration of the glycol additivesis 35%.The maximum pump suction pressure is limited to 300 kPa (3bar) due to the valve installed on the entering water piping. The use of any other glycol type additives must be approvedby Carrier.ATTENTION: Use of hydronic kit in an open loop is forbidden.17.12 - Evaporator and condenser pump suction filterAll pumps are protected by a suction filter. This is easilyremovable to recover solid particles. It protects the pump andthe plate heat exchanger against solid particles with a sizeexceeding 1,2 mm. Before the unit start-up it is important toturn the evaporator and condenser pump to decontaminatethe water loops of any solid pollution.A specific pump start-up function in the Quick Test menu isavailable for this task.17.13 - Connection sleevesFilter positions in the unitPosition of the water connection sleeves in the unit17.14 - Option 272: High-temperature water productionwith glycol solutionATTENTION: The temperature sensor positioned in thedischarge for option 272 is specific to this unit and mustnot be interchanged with another temperature sensor. Forreplacement please contact the Carrier service team.17.15 - Outside air temperature sensor30WGA units require information about the outside airtemperature. This is needed for correct system operation(EXV, fans, condensing temperature, setpoint). In units without control of the remote condenser (standard),the sensor (25 m) is supplied with the control box of the30WGA and must be installed near the air-cooled condenser. In units with control of the remote condenser (option 154),the sensor is supplied with the option and must be installednear the air-cooled condenser. The position of the temperature sensor must be chosen withgreat care and must be representative of the outside tempera-ture (limit any other source that could have a negativeinfluence on the control: gusts of wind, other heat sourcessuch as sun radiation and hot air recycling).
